Revueltas, Silvestre

Silvestre Reuvltas(1899-1940), Mexican composer, conductor and violinist, studied violin at the National Conservatory in Mexico City, St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas, and Chicago College of Music, concertizing widely, named assistant conductor of the National Symphony of Mexico. His music style is a distinctive mix of folk elements, his compositions include ballets, symphonic poems, and orchestral works.
