Revutsky, Levko

Levko Mykolajovich Revutzky(1889-1977), Ukrainian composer and teacher, his brother taught him to play piano at the age of 5, then entered the Tumanovsky Music School and also continued to study other fields and music at the Kiev University with Gliere. He taught at the Lysenko Music and Drama Institute. He received the titles of "People's Artist of Ukraine" in 1942 and "People's Artist of USSR" in 1944. He composed 2 symphonies, orchestral music, piano, vocal and chamber music.
